“Be brave enough to live life creatively. The creative place where no one else has ever been.”

Telit came to us with a simple ask – make something that will stop people in their tracks at Mobile World Congress. We knew this video had to engage viewers, spark conversation and explain Telit’s product. The challenge? Our short timeline and the technology. You can’t actually see the modules - they’re working behind the scenes connecting users via IoT. So our team came up with the idea of deconstruction to showcase the magic of the Telit module.
Our ambitious deconstruction concept required us to create not only well thought out storyboards, but also a special “flip rig” to shoot the scene transitions. A shoot this heavy on special effects required lots of communication between myself and the VFX director during pre-pro and while on set to make sure we captured every plate shot correctly before moving on to the next scene.
Not only were we under a lot of pressure to get the exact compositions the post team needed, another curve ball turned up the pressure just a little more - a snow storm hit Raleigh hard, pushing our shoot date back a week. We knew the event date wouldn’t change, so there was no pushing our deadline. We had to get it, and we had to get it perfect.
Two weeks and 800 cups of coffee later, our project was successfully out the door, and it was a show stopper at Mobile World Congress. It was so well received Telit came back to us the next year for another tour-de-force video for Mobile World Congress.
